ABOUT

Miriam graduated from the Slade School of Fine Art, London in 2023 and has a background in curation. She is currently working on sculpture, installation and the use of internet rabbit holes as storytelling.

Her practice is preoccupied with the mediative quality of digital infrastructure and the capacity of emergent technologies from digital doubling and image segmentation to Flixbus to remix and compress disparate time periods, generate hybrid entities and shift perceptual scales. The work explores how contemporary modes of play, mischief and conspiracy emerge through these evolving systems of pattern and abstraction.

Subjects move between the sculptural and the digital and continually evolve with a biological plasticity that rarely relies solely on a singular linear origin, choosing instead to emphasise resourcefulness and transformation as entities reappear and disappear in new works adapting to the changing demands of different environments 🐟
